Breakthrough therapies and new innovative treatments are offering many patients the promise of a healthier life. Yet, in a highly complex healthcare system not everyone is able to experience the benefits of these new medicines. From pricing and rebates to a lack of access to new drugs, what barriers are preventing patients from receiving the medications prescribed by their physicians and how can they be tackled?

Delays in receiving targeted and individualized care could potentially impact the health of those living with chronic, serious illnesses. How can such situations be prevented? What responsibility do stakeholders in the healthcare space have to create value for all patients? How can increased competition help improve access and what policy solutions can be explored at the federal level?

The Hill will convene key federal health officials, physicians, and other healthcare stakeholders for a conversation about keeping the patient at the center of the drug delivery system.
